" What I have learned is that these are not pictures I have taken, rather they are gifts that I have received. These are gifts given to me by people who opened their lives, even in their most vulnerable moments. The homeless veteran in that Denver alley on census night, who remained uncounted. The earthquake survivor who let me document resilience. The healthcare workers who allowed me into the chaos of a pandemic's front lines. Each one trusted me to be honest with their image. For this I am forever thankful."
